What is it : Overwhelm
Overwhelm is the feeling of being overly stressed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure. Too much exposure to stress can cause damage leaving us overwhelmed or unable to cope. This impacts physical, mental and relationship health.
Common Signs : Overwhelm
It is pretty common to hear people say, I don’t know what’s the matter but I just feel so overwhelmed. This is often a response to:
- everything feels like keeps getting faster
- everything feels like keeps getting nosier
- there isn’t enough time in the day
- your to-do list stats to dominate you rather than help you
- you just don’t know where to start
- you feel overwhelmed by what is in front of you
- you feel unable to cope
Tackling it : Overwhelm
You can’t remove stress from your life. That’s impossible. What we want to help you develop is balance. Sometimes stress response can be useful, pushing through challenges and our hormones will usually go back to normal quickly once the event is over.
